I am still rather aghast that these ramblings of mine have made it into the shortlist of the 2009 Manchester Blog Awards – Best City & Neighborhood blog. As something that started out, not that many months ago, as an outlet for my mildly creative urges it is an honour to be in this recognised in this fashion. So a BIG thank you is due to whomever nominated rainycitytales and those folks that drop by this plot of cyberspace from time to time.
It is also a privilege to be in the same category company as this talented bunch;
- The Manchester Zedders – Mapping Manchesterford A to Z style
- Levenshulme Daily Photo – One day, one photo, only one Levenshulme
- Manchester is Ace – Total agree with the sentiment of this blog 🙂
- Lost in Manchester – Weird and wonderful Manchester… we love it!
Good luck to everyone and don’t forget if you want to join the Manc bloggerati for a night of fun and frolics the Blog Awards take place on the 21st of October 2009. The venue is one of Manchester’s finest, the recently reopened Band on the Wall (I am loving the red lighting on outside the building) and tickets are a recession friendly £4 (£3 concession).
To procure entry simply buy them on the door or the organised amongst you can book via Ticketline / 0845 2500 500 in advance.

Well done for the shortlisting. I’m working my way through the lists (in a very haphazard fashion).
It’s a great blog, congratulations and good luck!
I’m also very impressed with the hands…
