Fosters Fish & Chips is an Alderley Edge institution. Famous for firing up their fryers for their footballing clientele’s fish suppers for the past 15 years.
This week saw the opening of their new Didsbury shop situated on Wilmslow Road. As per Alderley Edge the new ‘plaice’ has both eat in and take away options. The menu has all your traditional fish and chip shop fare and the portions are sure you satisfy the hungriest of patrons – hence just the 1/2 cod for me. And if you like chips you’ll be please to know at Fosters they come with your meal for free when you eat in… so if you want more all you need to do is ask! Whilst if you prefer fizz and chips you can even bring your own bottle.
Considering Fosters only opened on Thursday they already seem to be doing a steady trade and getting the thumbs up from customers. The Didsbury restaurant has a lot to live up to meet the heady heights of Alderley Edge but it’s already well on the way. Friendly staff and fresh, tasty fish and chips (oh and the mushy peas are a personal fav) make this one treat not to be missed.
