Bored of the snow, ice and unpleasantly cold temperatures yet? If so here are some hot events to enjoy in Manchester during December and January.
First up the HldTght‘s, Joyride Playground, kicks off at Soup Kitchen on the 13th of December and runs until the 16th of December 2010. This event will be an open studio for artists including Manchester’s very own Rong and Melo. Featuring over 30 illustrators, painters, sculptors, performance artists and graffiti writers and showcase of the finished exhibition will take place on the 17th of December (7-10pm). And if that wasn’t enough the after party rocks on until 2am with the tunes being served up by Dan Blacklodge, Snareophobe and Conor Faktion, alongside top secret (if I tell you I’d have to kill you) special guests.
Next… 2011 is almost upon us ladies and gents so now is the time to be thinking how to get the New Year off with a bang. Can you believe we are almost back in a MIF year? And what self respecting arts festival would be without a fringe to call it’s own? Not Part Of… get things going in style with a one-day New Year variety show at FAC251, including a sneaky peek at some of the events that will form part of the 2011 festival.
With all this excitement I can feel myself defrosting already!
