If this week has been anything to go by it appears Summer is undoubtedly on the horizon. Yet if you’re a theatre lover and the thought of a dark, stuffy auditorium isn’t calling to you over the coming months here are some ideas on how to get your fix in the great outdoors:
1) Manchester’s Library Theatre Company present the Dickens’ classic Hard Times (8th June – 2nd July 2011). This new production will be performed in the historic Murray’s Mills, Ancoats providing a fully immersive industrial experience.
2) Back in Manchester city centre the multitalented Contact Young Actors Company (CYAC) perform A Game of Consequence (20th – 21st August 2011). In this piece of alfresco theatre every decision made along the way will impact on the finale.
3) Head out of the city to Tatton Park with the kids and join in with the adventures of that Fantastic Mr Fox (25th June 2011). Dahl’s tale of Farmers Boggis, Bruce and Bean comes to life on the stage of the Illyria outdoor theatre at the Old Hall.
