A Manchester based artist beat some exceptional talent in a recent competition to design a flyer for Greater Manchester’s free what’s on recommendation service Go See This run by The Audience Agency. The competition encouraged people to submit artwork inspired by the theme “Great events in Greater Manchester and beyond”.
The winner, Meha Hindocha, is originally from Kenya, and has been a practicing artist in the UK for over 12 years. Her work is inspired by local surroundings including people, buildings, and nature. Meha also drew upon her experiences of artworks, museum pieces, and performances she has seen in Greater Manchester, as well as the region’s architecture and street art. This her to create a unique illustration that the judges felt best portrayed many of the great things to experience in and around the city.
“We had a great range of entries to the competition all focusing on the fantastic array of culture that Greater Manchester has to offer. It was a tough decision but we felt the winning entry from Meha celebrated both the diversity of the city and the exciting range of activities to see and do.”
Ivan Wadeson, Executive Director, The Audience Agency
Meha’s winning design will be featured on a postcard, which will be distributed around the city in a highly targeted marketing campaign to encourage people to sign up to the free Go See This mailing list.
