Wandering around Manchester can be a architecture fanatic’s dream with it’s iconic buildings such as Urbis, Manchester Town Hall, Beetham Tower, IWMN etc. etc. However what delights me most is coming across one of the more hidden gems. So veer of the ‘tourist trail’ and take a look at my new favourite, the eye catching Building Design Partnership (BDP.) offices located at 11 Ducie Street, Piccadilly Basin, Manchester. BDP is the largest interdisciplinary practice of architects, designers, engineers and urbanists in Europe – so I would like to think they know how to do things right and taking a look at this building it seems they have it bang on. Today, as I do most days, I headed into the minefield of useless useful information that is Goggledom. Surfing on the crest of a www I came across Paint My Album. The concept involves some chaps called Diarmuid and Anthony from Manchester have started a internet craze for rehashing classic album covers using Microsoft Paint. A design junkie like me can’t go wrong with Manchester store magMA. It is a place where there is a lot to love. This lunchtime I nipped down there to get some optical pleasure and I read this… Tokidoki means “sometimes” in the Japanese language. ‘Sometimes’ because everyone waits for moments that change one’s destiny.
